Whats the legality of these? Do they fit to the orignal wiring loom without melting the conductors? How loud is loud?

Quite fancy one, may be good in an emergency and will sh*t a few people up when required!
I have one. It plugged into the standard connections on my Sv with no problems. Passed MOT with no problems

Needed it today when got cut up by a people carrier!

has anyone tried to fit the Nautilus bad boy to a sv650s yet?

If so,
does it fit in std position - how tricky is the wiring?

Is the Magnum loud enuf really?

The louder the better.

If I can sound like the Queen Mary coming into port, I want to

Coming thru

my 2p worth -get the fiamm ones from halfwits if you go with the single unit you get a high (peep)or a low tone unit(a proper'beep') if u get the kit with both and the relay they sound very loud together and theyr easy to fit ,if ure gonna go to the bother of changing the unit get they bad boys and ull b well chuffed ,i guarantee it.ps they fit lovely on a faired curvey,on a naked bike it may b hardr to find a suitable mounting for them ,for a naked i would just get the one unit as its less work and itll prob b neater

I've recently fitted the same one (Stebel Magnum) onto my Speed Triple. It's much louder and deeper than the stock 'meep'. It was a straight swap - no relay required. Well worth it.

went to halfwits and.....

"sorry sir, we don't stock any motorcycle horns

What are these then?

Oh they're car horns sir.

Why can't I use them on a bike? They're all 12V aren't they?

Well I suppose you could sir"

DOH

Anyway, only had the single red and black plasticcy looking one.....and a Stebel Nautilus oooo that's big. A bit too big to fit behind the rad I think.
Tags for the double red one and the Stebel Magnum - but no stock

Will have a good look at the mounting position tmrw and see how much room there is. I hope there's enuf room for the Stebel nautilus compact from nippynormans - 139dB. Come on.

I was jsut about to post about this, I beeped goodbye to a mate at about 50mph yesterday and I couldn't hear anything! I stopped and checked and the horn was working, but at speed, with my earplugs and helmet on, its inaudible. I was going to ask whether cage drivers can hear it better than I can? Its pretty shocking if I have to use it in an emergency...

I know that the Nautilus Compact is still too big to fit on a Speed Triple. No idea about the SV. The Magnum is still plenty loud enough (136db) and is more likely to fit.

There used to be instructions on the main site to fit the Fiamm pair of horns. iece of cake, but if you go to the main site and put FIAMM into the google search it will find it. The word doc seems to be missing, so click on 'view as HTML' and the instructions appear.

I have the FIAMMS fitted and they do a good job of waking the living dead!

Mine passed MOT, although tester jumped a bit
Fitted the connectors on my curvey.
I've used it once to avoid getting squashed and the driver of the people mower heard it and stopped. In fact everybody in the vacinity heard it and stopped. Louder than your average car horn I think...
