Only from a personal perspective I used to be of the opinion that everyone should wear all the gear all the time. I have since come to my senses. As Fizz has stated, what other people do or do not wear is of no concern of mine. But of course I do still have an opinion and view on all things. I just normally keep them to myself.

And if you promise not to tell anyone else, it has been known that I have nipped down the shops myself without my leathers on.

Some people who are lucky enough never to have come off a bike have the same views as BA.

Call it what you will.......I call it fore-thought

i only feel the way i do because when i had my accident you realize how hard the tarmac is and i think that most ppl that dont wear safety gear have never felt that road digging in to their person.

Righting off a Honda 400-4 at full belt around a fast right hand curve...gave me intimate knowledge of this particular discomfort!

Wrangler jeans and a leather jacket(pre armour days) was my only protection. Oh them there grazes!

I've fallen off my pushbike enough times to know what its like to go tarmac surfing.

Road Rash with gravel stuck in it is very uncomfortable to say the least.

Well I say serves him right! Harsh, but that's my opinion ... If you don't protect yourself (and that goes for every event in your life), you get what's coming to you! Just shows how much you respect and value yourself IMO...

Just as long as you protect yourself, who cares what Joe Bloggs down the road does...

Amen

That is foolish. If you're gonna wheelie, (which they obviously can't do very well) do it in leathers. By stunting you increase your chances of binning dramatically, e specially if you're trying to get the bike up on power alone with no balance, which makes for very fast and very painful offs.

They deserve everything they got. Look at the guy on the nina's first attempt. N00B.

EDIT: Admittedly the guy who fell off was doing the wheelies quite nicely imo.
