I'm not saying it's a terrible shock, by the way, just rerear a bit and I got a wee bit carried away It's just the worst part of the B model's setup, by a fair way, and that's a shame. With the SV, the weak shock is balanced by the weak front end, but having a good chassis, good front end, and not so good rear is a waste IMO.
Obviously it wasnt my GSX-R, so it's quite possible it wasnt setup right, for me anyway.

I hope to get a fancy aftermarket shock for the B at some point (and for the SV for that matter).

The only problem that I found with the C1 that I rode was that the fueling was very snatchy and on/off like my pointy SV was - and as it was something I hated about my SV, I would shy away for that reason unless it was such a good price that I could throw a power commander and some Dyno time at it to sort this.

Saying that, this was the dealer demo bike so what state had it gotten into? It may have been a one off on this bike as I have never heard a complaint on the Ninja forum or anywhere in the press. The handling was superb though and it was very comfortable seeing as I'm 6' and I ride everyday.

Curious that you should mention George Whites as that was where someone said you could get pre-reg C1's for £4999 but that was on another forum (south west bikers). Do you go on there or something?

Kawasaki Direct are definitely doing unregisted new ones for £5500OTR.

In my humble opinion, the C1ś are somewhat fugly in comparison to the B1 & 2s

Toypop, I had a quick look on the mcnijas site and saw someome mention George Whites on there. Also brougnt MCN and they are selling pre reg ZX636C1 for £4995 which would be my max with insurance costs ( oh to have a garage and not live in London )

Will be there in about 15 minutes !!! It's just the insurance, tpft ,4 years ncb = without garage £900 with garage £437

There's a guy near me who has his busa in a rented garage so I'm waiting to see how much he pays to rent the garage. Won't tell the missess how much the insurance is though

Mine was fully comp, completely clean history but 0 NCB (due to a 5 year break from biking) and NOT garaged but kept on property - £700. Funny thing was I got an online quote of £1500, but when I rang and did a quote on the phone it came to £700.

Mine is in a bike barn on my property by the way, can't recommend bike barns enough although it doesn't qualify as a garage on insurance.

I wouldn't go for TPFT. I nearly did but chose not to take the risk at the last minute. Glad I didn't take the risk, not long after I got it some biker was knocked off by some stupid kid playing chicken on a dual carriageway I use on a regular basis. Kid won't be running anything again, not even a tap... But there are plenty more morons where he came from and if they knock you off you won't get a penny so kiss good bye to £5000 worth of hard earned cash in an instant....
