I've discussed this many times..

We worked out it IS a 750 model, but the rider was doing that speed, and had only just started riding.

tbh, the kind of bikers we don't want on the road anyway. He paid the ultimate cost of riding like an idiot. Theres absolutly NO excuss for riding on a road that has T junctions at those speeds.

I don't think it was setup, you see these kinda displays at the bike shows all the time.

Personally, I did CBT, then spent a short time on a 125, amongst traffic I could barely keep up with. It was far safer for me to have the power to be able to move. So that (and the CG engine blowing up) pushed me towards DAS, and the SV.

Yes, I've had my moments, but on the whole, I have been reserved whilst riding. I still remember that first ride vividly, opening the throttle on the SV & thinking "oh f**k this thing has some power." Now, it's starting to feel a little dull, so I've already started looking at more powerful machines.

However, I have 3 very good reasons not to die on the bike, and remind myself of them regularly. Three kids give your right wrist a little respect for the road.

I also have another very good reason not to switch to something like the '07 R1 (even though I really REALLY want to)... finances.

Throttle goes both ways you know.

I did das last year but mine wasnt one of those crash courses, i did mine over a few months, hadnt really ridden anything bigger than a 500cc before i went out on my sv(ok ok i rode my zx9 a few times but NOT on the roads), and ive had nothing but respect for what my bike can do.
I ride her every day regardless of weather/time of day, come summer im hoping to be out having the odd play on my zx9 and POSSIBLY my mates tl .
Das does work-at the end of the day-you want to ride like a tw*t,your not going to last long out there! and tbh round here scooters riders are the worst ones on the road!
