well I have had to advise 3 neighbours that they have lost ridge tiles. One poor lady has lost not only the ridge tiles on her hip roof but about 5ft square of roof as well. She is devastated that some tiles fell through her conservatory roof.

The A6 down the road from me closed in both directions. A tree down in one direction and a truck turned over in the other

The wind has really got up in the last hour here. Luckily I am not on my bike but still have to drive over the cat and fiddle in my light as a feather Subaru .... eeek!

Don't care what you guys say, it is dangerous out there on a bike right now, please take care.

"Interesting" ride at lunchtime. Lost the front after one particular gust of wind (I was accelerating and the front had gone light), but managed not to drop it.

But I'm with viney on this one, park somewhere out of the wind if possible, and ride with caution (no different to normal then).
Haha! I'm only playing, I dont mean it as an insult. Actualy, i rather admire the bravery and the skill involved. Its hard riding in the wind.

My neighbours scooter has fallen over onto the grass verge. I was gonna pick it up but instead I've left it on its side; that way it won't blow over again and do more damage.

My bike is still standing up, quite well shielded! Very scared about the fence, its blowing side to side rather furiously

Well, apparently the MD of Birmingham airport has been killed by a tree/branch falling on his car

And one of the windows from the 7th floor of our building has blown out, nearly landing on two of the guys from work who were walking past down below

I rode to work this morning and it was fine but the wind seems to have picked up since. Still planning on riding home but not exactly looking forward to it!

I nearly got blown over on the bike on the way to work this morning pulling up to a junction to turn right. And on the way home going over a flyover in the left hand lane towards chertsy, wind blew me into the right hand lane and nearly into the barriers made the bike feel like it didn't weigh anything and felt like the wheels were being blown out from underneath me... felt horrible. any faster than 50mph and i was being blown into the curb. Plus all the debris that hit me.

Hopefully it will have cleared up tomorrow.
