Re: SV650 Lump in a KR1S Frame (Courtesy of JanBros)

it has got me thinking of not project-ing the sv650 and just trying to follow a similar path and shoehorn the sv engine into a nsr250 frame... g-g-g-g-g-g-g-g- grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr... but i guess i must ask myself- do I indeed even have that kinda time? |

They were thinking: £1.50 ... £1.51 ... £1.52 ... STOP! That's plenty!
Some people don't like fact that it's not some posh banana-arm jobby, but it handles power of SV fine without flex.

I love the quality of the welding on the curvy swigarm, especially on the inner brace between shock and tyre.....
The pigeon on the production line must of had guts of steel to produce that. |

Nice work.
But this and another thread has got me thinking- Hmmm- SV650 Curvy with a single sided swingarm ,underseat exhaust and new bodywork. I may not sell the SV when I eventually get a new bike....! |

Unreliable late 80s pile of Kawasaki 2-stroke rubbish. There are loads of immaculate KR1 and KR1-S rolling chassis around, because the engines lasted about 5 minutes.
I owned one, after the third set of pistons and barrels the engine was dumped wholesale in my wheelie bin, and a spare RD350LC F1 engine I had kicking around went in instead. It's still going after 9 years like that. |
