My money is still on the Barnard Castle, Penrith, hartside and back down through weardale route, but open to suggestions - time to start watching long range weather forecasts

There are some of us going out Thursday after work on our 8-4 shift for a few frinky poos round Darlo if you're down this way and in need of liquid rehydration

Im working til 5 myself so dont know what im doing yet, at the moment im trying to sort out our summer hol in Greece and a trip to Scotland! :S

Definitely will give you a call in the next couple of days - you about at the weekend - anyone else for that matter as I will probably be available on Sunday for a blast.

I'm at work EVERY damn day this week, including 3 days at Crown Court on a neighbourly dispute case believe it or not.

Been lookin at my map and think I've come up with a better route, how's about meeting up in Ripon again, and heading on the same route up towards Masham/Leyburn, but then head up towards Ripon and turn off up Swaledale towards Reeth - then head over the top on Mallerstang Common and down towards Barnard Castle, head out towards Middleton in Teesdale, then Eggleston, heading over towards the A68 at Toft Hill stopping for a brew up at The Wear View Diner just outside West Auckland, down towards Darlo, then the AWESOME A167 to Northallerton then onto Thirsk and Ripon.

Then after our goodbyes we've got the A167 back again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just a thought, but if we go any routes up here I'm up for a ride out before the meet - at least to check timings etc, make sure the public loos in Reeth are open on a Sunday etc/cafe open for coffees on Sunday etc etc etc

Well i was thinking it would be nice if we could treat those southerners (mancunians/Lancastrians) to a bit of Hartside and Im sure if Mark could make it, then he would be able to show us around his playground. Rather than go across to the Lakes (which north/southers are doing in June anyway) we could keep to this side of the m6.

Rob - I think you're right bout HARTSIDE, my only thoughts when I offered another suggestion was that to meet up in Darlo makes it a long way to the start point for those coming oop t'north, how'z bout meeting in Ripon then up thro' Masham/Reeth/Barney/Teesdale to Hartside ??????

That sounds like a good shout - Ripon to Hartside via Teesdale etc. Will have a look for a route.
