Update.

Just had a text from Toady, he's got the OK to go home today, so you'll miss him if you visit.

the problem bolt will be changed next week so he should be able to bend the knee then and get in a car with any luck.

Cheers Mark.

Update,

Rictus and I popped over to see Mr Toad yesterday evening, he seems in good spirits and has been given a fine array of medication courtesy of the NHS. Hopefully he'll be able to post a decent update over the next couple of days. The metalwork still looks impressive

If he hasn't been able to drag himself near a computer, the meds must be good!

I'm Back

I had to go back into hospital today as one of the pin sites has got infected, so they wanted an excuse to pump me full of even more obnoxious chemicals than they are doing already. Oh well, that was most of the day gone

So as well as antibiotics, I've got 2 sets of anti-constipation pills, and 4 different sets of anti-depressants, which apparantly also act as muscle relaxants. I was hoping to go and sit on the loo and have a good laugh, but unfortunately they don't seem to work like that

Well they're certainly relaxing something - I slept all day Friday, and Saturday, and Sunday, and most of Monday. I realised something wasn't quite right on Sunday(who said I was slow), so stopped taking the damn pills, only for the leg to wake up on Monday and start giving me some jip. So I've started to take some of the pills a little more selectively in order to avoid acting like Dylan from the Magic Roundabout. Get to see the consultant tomorrow, and hopefully he'll remove the bolt that he left sticking into my calf , so I'll be able to start bending the leg, and also hopefully can arrange a more appropriate level of drugs, as it's quite depressing being high as a kite

My thanks to all those who posted or txted, especially Jambo and Rictus, and also apologies to those who left messages, as I dropped my phone and managed to break it a bit.

Here's another pic of the leg for those interested in that sort of thing

cheers
