Hope you're fully comp if buying on credit, it's something I'd be very careful with (not that I'd ever buy on credit but thats a whole nother story..)

Well sorry to put a dampener on things, but if the bike gets nicked then you'll get market value, less the excess, and still be paying back the loan.
Thats what puts me off, as well as the ridiculous interest. I like my rat-bike ![]()

I remember you commenting how you wanted an SV after your little vanvan. Hope you won't be disappointed
![]() --Don't think you will be, just take care of her through the winter months or she may look old before her time, oh and you might want to think about fitting some (decent) crash protectors, as well as a fender extender if you ride a lot in the wet. |

I'm sure some people will disagree, but i think alarms are massively overrated. You have to deal with inevitable electrical gremlins and when it comes down to it, if the thieves are any good, they'll have the bike regardless. Storing it somewhere safe with a good chain/disc-lock/anchor is a lot better IMO.
Also £300 for an alarm seems a bit much. I personally think they are only any good as a deterrent as they make noise and might disturb the thieves. A cheapo one can do that anyway. These days everyone ignores alarms going off as well, so unless you can hear it....bah. My bike has an immobiliser fitted as standard, which is a bonus, but nowadays most bikes are nicked and put in a van, so they dont need to start it. |

I've been talking to the dealer that is selling the bike and that said there's no reason why I shouldn't buy it, but the reason the front plug gets water in it is because the drainage hole gets blocked up easy and all that really needs to be done is to check the hole every now and then.

Well done mate. Regarding Insurance, I save about £600 a year for having my bike in a garage! (Higher group than SV). Mind you the garage costs £50 a month. Do the maths.

![]() Instead of "Welcome to our world." It should have been "Welcome to the wild side." |
