Went to pick up my leathers today on the bike. Nice ride. Arrived to find my wallet had escaped from my pocket. Very annoyed and frustrated. No cash in there, cards can be replaced...wallet itself was expensive though and a gift from the GF. Grrrrrrrrr.

What do you guys do with wallets etc? Do I need to get the bum bag out again?

I only carry the cards and cash I need and keep them in a zipped up inside pocket of my jacket. Or else put my purse in my tank bag if I've got it.

Zipped semi inside pocket of Jacket or zipped pocket of rucksack.

Yup lost a wallet when I forgot to zip up the rucksack pocket - lost some cash, nice wallet & the most expensive card to replace was the driving licence £25 Grrr! And! I didn't realise I should have updated my photo, so it was another £25 a couple of years later. (and lost phone )

Yes. Get the bum bag out again. If you can't find it buy another. In pink.

I never have any money so not really an issue. Inside zipped pocket for cash card.

Wallet in rear pocket is usually inside outer textiles, or else I put it in my combats thigh pocket.

My textiles have a couple of waterproof pockets on the outside that take wallet and phone. If I'm hitting autoroutes with loads of péage gates I use the little credit-card-sized pocket by the left wrist for a card.

My leather trews have pockets like normal trousers (albeit ones that zip closed) so they do the trick.

I've got a leather jacket but I rarely if ever wear it.

On an unrelated note, my satnav recorded a new highest-ever speed on Saturday. Which was nice.

Since reading this thread, I've invented, made and fitted a "wallet scoop" to fit on the front of my bike. It had picked up some small road kill, a squirrel I think, when I got home from my ride today. I think I need to fine-tune the built in leather detector.
