Bike is prepped - service 2 weeks ago, so tonight I checked oil, tyres, topped up chain oiler, adjusted suspension and fuelled up. Haven't bother cleaning it (not as OCD as Quiff) as by the time I get uo to the campsite it will be splattered with bugs anyway.

Clingfilmed up a 500ml bottle of engine oil (my Triumph hardly burns any oil, but you never know ) and a bottle of scottoiler oil. Few tools packed, along with puncture and first aid kits.

Camera batteries (x3) charged up and memory cards formatted (enough for about 5000 photos!)

Just need to pack a few clothes in the morning, load up the panniers, topbox and tankbag and we are good to go.

200 miles tomorrow to Quiff's, and then about 300 miles from his place to Beinglas on Friday morning.

See you all up there

Bike is ready, just need to swap the wheels over and it's sorted.
Not packed yet, but food bought.

310 miles or so route up there, google reckons 8 hours 21 minutes

370 miles for us but only 6 1/2 hours.

Brake and clutch to be bled, plus a general lookover and bolt tightening. Fairings back on, then packing.

Trying to pace ourselves, so as to give us something do instead of climbing the walls.

Normally I'd say no problem, but with Sally around I might end up homeless myself

I am actually looking forward to it enough that when I went out for a ride this afternoon I was consciously thinking "DON'T CRASH.... DON'T BLOW IT UP ... DON'T CRASH..." That doesn't normally happen

I've a spare tent you can have. small enough for the bike but big enough to sleep in and space for your gear.

Simple explanation for that. Subconsciously you were extremely worried for your own health should you have to tell me on the phone that you may have killed the rat
