Re: The All New Megathread
Yep, me too. A slightly more cheerful result, although it remains to be seen what Starmer does. He got elected on 3.2 million fewer votes than Jeremy Corbyn got in 2017.
I'm heartened to see the Greens did so well, gaining all four of their target seats. Less pleased to see that Fartages Fascists also got 4 seats. And not happy about the fact that the media is giving them lots of publicity and pretty much none to the Greens. |

Re: The All New Megathread
That says more about who owns the UK MSM than it does the UK, although the BBC should just not have Reform on any program. I'm a little disappointed Plaid didn't do better, we need people who will speak up for Wales. Welsh Labour MPs will just do as they are told.

Re: The All New Megathread
I know what you mean about Plaid Mike, although they have gained a couple more seats. The plus side is that we've kicked every last tory out of Cymru.

Re: The All New Megathread
Properly hosing it down here today, as it did for most of yesterday... Looks like we're in for a poor upcoming week of it too.
Was hoping to clip my hawthorn hedge this weekend and catch up with some weeding but not much hope of either now as I don't fancy getting soaked in the process.

Been hammering down with rain here too. Still, at least it's refilling my water butt.

Re: The All New Megathread
Morning all. Blue skies and sunshine here, although still pretty cool for July. Weather looks pretty grim for tomorrow.
How's it looking for everyone else? |

Re: The All New Megathread
Sunny but cool here too. Looks like the only decent day for the next week or so, judging by the long-range forecast. Did St Swithin's Day come early this year, or did someone wash their bike?

Re: The All New Megathread
Morning all. Grey and dreary here, and not overly warm either. It's not terribly conducive to getting outside and doing stuff, but I'm going to have to get out and on with a few things I think.
What's everyone else up to? |

Re: The All New Megathread
Morning all. Back from a very enjoyable 3 days away with Jan up near Conwy. A couple of nights a the Groes Inn, and trips to Bodnant Gardens (huge and needs a repeat trip there), Niwbyrch and a walk to the point with the towers, and a mooch around the very scenic town of Conwy, with a stop for coffee and cake at the brilliant L's Coffee and Books cafe on the high street.
Something of a change today with an online, 3 hour meeting this morning, and setting up a new PC for someone this afternoon. Bit of a shame to be indoors with the sun shining, and my new reg/rec sitting on the table waiting for me to fit it to the bike. |

Re: The All New Megathread
Bodnant Gardens are fantastic. You are right they are huge and need several visits to explore. They are constantly changing as various plants come in or die back. We go probably once a month and still see new things. Last month was how the wild flower meadow has developed and bloomed, orchids everywhere! We've not been to any evening openings this year, but that's a favourite to take a picnic on a nice day.
