Bloody hell that was a wet day! Spent it doing the sound tech for the Food Fair at y Dolydd in Llanfyllin. It rained from the time I arrived to set up at 8am until I packed the kit away and drove off home at 6.30pm. Surprisingly given all the music was outdoors, albeit with cover provided for me, audience, and performers, there was a good attendance.

Got home about an hour and a half ago unloaded, wiped down all the gear, stacked it all away and am now finally sat with a cuppa and a bowl of food.

Phew!

Morning all. Slightly brighter today, but cool and breezy. My new mattress should(!) be arriving this morning so a few jobs I'll get on with while I'm waiting. Spuds to be lifted, pick another load of runner beans, string the onions. I want to take another look at the bike too as there is an intermittent electrical fault somewhere.

What's the week ahead looking like for everyone?

Ooof! It peed down here all yesterday too, and the rain has continued overnight. Lovely

Got hospital visits tomorrow and Wednesday for pre-chemo blood tests and then the actual infusion, so mostly hanging around for the first half of the week

Was miserable here too. Planned dog walks didn't happen which is a minor problem as we are dog sitting my daughter's spaniel which is used to at least an hour a day off-lead so she is climbing the walls while I'm working....

This week's plans involve winning the lottery....

Good luck with the blood tests Craig, hope it goes well for you and they get you onto your treatment asap.

Spaniels are endless bundles of energy - ADHD dogs!

Thanks Gary - it's my second infusion so it's all fairly routine. At least it doesn't look like I'm going to miss any good weather ...

Hope the chemo doesn't knock you about too badly. The weather looks pretty wet for the next few days so as you say, it doesn't like like you'll be missing any sunny riding weather.

I'm off to Scotland for a few days with daughter Sioned. We're playing at a small charity festival, "Bootstock in the Borders", in Traquair, for the Nepal Trust. Driving up tomorrow, playing Friday night and Saturday night, then driving home on Sunday morning. Going to be fun but exhausting I think!

sounds good fun, we are off to the' Peace through Folk gathering' this weekend in Staffordshire . I am usually heavily involved helping to set the site up but this year I have not regained my stamina or balance sufficiently to be of any use

Morning all. Had my first of three nights last night up here in Scotland. I'm staying with a friend who lives on the Glen Estate just south of Traquair. Daughter Sioned is in a flat in the big house. And it is a big house too, a huge, baronial Victorian pile, astonishing place.
Just looked out of the window this morning and we have a hard frost!

We're off into Peebles this morning for a look around and then meeting in Innerleithen with old friends from Bonar Bridge who are coming down to take part in the event this evening and tomorrow.
