I'm damn tempted to tune my sv a wee bit see if I can get another 5-10 hp out of it. Depends how many 100s that'll cost. Watching a few minitwins vids on youtube put the idea in my head.

thanks Binky, but I've not not got room for two. It's got to be road legal. I'm changing the SV come February anyway, the trackday has led to me reconsidering the type of bike I'll get. I was dead set on a Tuono

The only problem with going up the inside of the hairpin it's easy to cut people up, I dunno if that's the done thing on the track but I'd feel a bit vulnerable.

Just save your moneys. Improve the handling and brakes first.

Or just save your moneys more and get a new bike.

normally i bottled it and sat behind people but i was a tad late on the brakes and thought,, .."ah well, he wont mind, tooo much"

Without putting gixxer calipers on the bike I can't see anyway of improving the braking but wouldn't like to put those on without gixxer forks. I ddin't have any quibbles with suspension surprisingly enough so would have figured that'd be a waste of £300. Probably looking around that for a few extra hp.
But then again you raise the very valid point of a new bike.

I know, I found it hard to determine whether it was good etiquette to join the orderly queue then get past them at the next available safe spot or just to run the risk of putting someones back up. Like on edwinas for example you get someone on a powerful bike storm up the inside of everyone on the straight cut across some poor kid on entry then hold every one else up out of the corner then as you move to pass them they cut across you to make the next bend. I found gerrards wide enough to politely get round them all, just meant you were sat for ages.

I was queuing for the hairpin most of the time. Thoughts of Josh Brookes. Was it you I hunted down? Remember chasing a blue curvey and passed at some point.
