Problem.....Big effing problem. One of the bolts in the mastercylinder had completely rounded, I can't get the top off. It's countersunk so you can't get to it with a hacksaw, drilling it sounds like new mastercylinder time...any ideas?

Is it just me these things happen to?

Dremel a slot in it, or see if an impact driver can get enough purchase.

It was the impact driver that did it, the piece was a good fit but as soon as I cracked it one it just shmushed. Mine appear to be made of grey cheese.
**** wishing I hadn't leant my dremmel to a mate, good Idea though I'll give it a whirl....****ing ******* like the 3rd time I've ever needed the thing and someone else has it

Impact driver = trouble. Well it did in my case. SOMEBODY decided it would be a good idea to try and nudge the alternator plug with one, which subsequently cracked it, unbeknown to me. Many nightshifts later in the midst of winter, not checking my oil level I had some damaged cams in my front cylinder.....because the oil had slowly dripped out of the crack and the oil level went to zilch..now you know why I ended up getting a new engine......bahhhhh IMpact driver, naughty nasty thing!!!

oh not disputing that, just there is a time and a place to use them, this was not the time and place as it ended up me paying through the nose for it in the long run. Still haven't hit the culprit with a frying pan!! grrrrrr

Was it matt?
To be honest I wouldn't have expected one to crack. Then again a few years ago I accidentally used on on a crank shaft lol
