Seems to be a known fault on the Duke 2, to the point that it's passed into common lore on the KTM forum. An easy enough fix, just a pain in the **** since it means stripping down half the bike and I can't be bothered to do it. Hopefully I'll score the spare one I'm watching on ebay and then I'll throw it and some money at InMoto in Croydon to sort out. It has rather blown my "commuting by bike is cheaper than the tube" equation out of the water though.

It's only money. I wish it was more expensive to drive the car than ride my bike to work. I think I need a more powerful and expensive car. Can then justify the expense of riding the bike.

Well quite. If money was a serious concern I'd be riding a 600 quid scooter using a thimble of fuel a day.

As it is I have an excuse to commute on the thou for a couple of weeks. It's a hard life!

Mmm....thats ok, i was under the impression we were talking about the thursday after next tuesday anyhow - the 27th. I can't do this week as on lates.

The bike needs to get out of the garage.

Not sure if I am going to make it now. Apart from anything else, having tried to fix the speedo at the weekend. I failed. Replaced the speedo drive without effect.

Ah don't worry...speedos are highly overated. Mines been dodgy since October. It broke so I fixed it and it now reads double!! Did you know an SV's digital speedo will only read up to 186 mph!!
