Re: Improving comfort on the SV?
i'm pretty sure that the SV forks are 41mm but i cant confirm it. but these would do as you could get them closer as well as higher. so instead of the bars being at the front of the yoke they would be in the middle of the yoke which will sit you up a bit.

Agy, give me a shout when you get what ever you decide on, I'll fit it for you, it'll cost you a cuppa though.

Re: Improving comfort on the SV?
Pardon the derail Agy, but would anyone know how does a top yoke conversion on an faired sv compare to the naked one?
Are they roughly the same as far as comfort and riding position is concerned? |

Re: Improving comfort on the SV?
much depends on how it's done, the naked top yoke has a set height on the risers so you have no choice where the bars fit, the only adjustment is rotational (the angled ends), however if you fit risers to a drilled faired top yoke (and being the faired yoke you should re-inforce it, for the riser mounts, I tend to use either steel plate or alloy milled to fit the underside webbing of the casting), you can use either longer and/or angled risers to get a few more inches back and/or up.
although saying that, if you use different bars (such as Renthal enduro bars come in standard/low or ultra low); on a naked yoke you can swing them back for much the same effect Cheers Mark.

Re: Improving comfort on the SV?
Ah, my bad.
I meant to say, the top yoke conversion from topyokes for example fitted to a faired sv compared to the standard riding position on a naked sv. Wind protection aside, would the riding position be roughly the same? |

Re: Improving comfort on the SV?
most of the custom yoke kits feature a conservative riser, so will be pretty much the same as a naked, however you can sometimes specify a taller riser when ordering if that's what you need.
Cheers Mark.
