I'll be honest, i'm a newer rider so i haven't been pushing it, but i've not really ever felt uncomfortable on my bike. It's been steady in all weathers and the front tyre is warm even after short rides... which i think means it's getting heat in quick and gripping more?
![]() I've done about 1500 miles on it. Not sure how many it did before me, i think it was pretty new. |

BT016 is apparently a very good tyre, with "excellent cold grip", as I read in a review of most of the major "sports" tyres, which now I have lost the link to.
I'd guess the profile of the 016, being a sporty tyre, being different to that of a much more touringy tyre, that being the 021, so it could handle differently, but hey ![]() Much like the PP2ct front and PR2 rear that so many people run. |

I'm probably wrong, but the back tyre wears quicker than the front? If i'm wrong then bugge r it but if not... i guess with the BT021 lasting longer than the BT016, then it's actually a good combination to have the 21 on the back and 16 on the front.
Naturally i will have got it wrong ![]() |

That's exactly why, because of the duration of a rear, and the grip at the front end. But this doesn't ALWAYS work, but then I will have gotten it wrong
![]() But if I were to do this (tempting but fooking expensive), I'd do it with Michellins because they have such awesome tread patterns.. ![]() |

I never found a Bridgestone that gave good cold grip. They all felt wooden and never let me feel what the front of the bike was doing.

No mate, it's much better than the BT014. That tyre was just downright terrible.
![]() The BT016 has triple compounds (real 3, total of 6 across the tyre at the back IIRC) |
