Hey guys, looked like you went to some awesome places and you took some really good pics, thanks for sharing and a good write up Mike

I have to say well done both, I would love to do something like that but I know my riding is nowhere near good enough, what an achievement

As for your sausage Claire, mmm was it nice? Yuk

It was disgusting Shell!! when they first bought it to me I said to Mike "THEY`VE GOT TO BE TAKING THE P..." lol we each had a tentative bite and shoved it out the way, the liver sausage wasn`t much better and the other thing was like that brawn you give to animals!! had some fabulous local cuisine on our travels such as the duck breast with cherries and potatoe pancakes in Prague and the Hungarian Goulash soup but have to say that when it comes to the Black Forest stick to the gateaux!!

Fabulous pics The ones of the Grossglockner brought back happy memories

We will definitely head out that way again, so the advice about the raw sausage has been noted

For anyone who feels this way, I say quit dreaming and DO IT!

I appreciate where you live Bananaman, so please don't feel this is directed at you - although I think you should hit the Rockies or something!

I still feel it's directed at me....and I can't believe you said that!!

Just kidding... I agree with you 100%!!!
No matter where you live. Get out there and do it!
Take that trip. Explore the unknown.
This is what makes life worth living!

But for me...
Forget the Rockies....I'm headed to the Smokies ...in the morning!!!
9 hrs and counting....
My annual "big 1" ride.
One man, one bike, one long weekend (fri-sun), 1,000 miles.
Totally mountain roads the entire trip.
Going to be good just to get away.
Great roads, beautiful mountains....

Still not the Alps...
A trip I will make .....but at present I don't have enough fully trained employee's to leave work for that long.
Maybe next year...

Note: Will definately pass on the raw sausage.

Again...great pics and report..
Thanks for sharing!

(has rekindled my desires for a euro trip)
