Well I picked mine up today, fitting was a piece of **** and the improvement is pretty significant I would say considering its only an extra 2" or something on the screen, I now think its an essential when you buy any bike to fit one of these if it hasnt got one lol......I did find a ****ty part on honda's though, the screen screws GRRRR they are made of a cheesy type plastic, 2 sheared off and the rest pretty much rounded off...honda wanted £1.80 a piece

If they are so great with no ill side effects then why aren't the standard screens shaped in this way?
Was there a definitive answer on the cheapest place to get one from for the pointy? Not at all fussed about brand, and want clear. |

Try Powerbronze, their stuff should be cheap with the quality they produce. |

Quick question - what screen do I go for dark smoke/tint or black?
I have a black K8 and originally wanted the black screen, but it has been pointed out that you can't see through them. Now maybe my riding position is wrong, but I don't get down low enough to see through the screen anyway, so why should that make a difference? I appreciate only I can really answer that question, but unless I'm focussed on "what's an inch in front of my tyre?", I can't see it making a blind bit of difference.....or am I missing something? |

Who told you that you cant see through them? Someone who hasnt got one I imagine. My F.fabbri is the darkest they do......see photos above, you can see through it completely fine.....infact in one of the pics you can seen light shining through it.....you're rarely lieing down on your tank looking through it anyway.

Just fitted my Powerbronze DB and I can say it does not cut down the wind noise as much as I thought but it does seem to make the bike handle better, I think it is because it changes the way I ride the bike. The wind seems to hit the shoulders a bit more which takes the pressure of the bars, making me more relaxed on the bike if that makes sense.
Would not go back to the OEM screen, look great in light smoke. ![]() |
