Hi bigape

The ride was great - my dad lead me up to P&H in crawley along some really nice roads. It was excellent to be able to overtake cars safely and keep up with my dad (I say keep up....he never had to stop and wait for me, just slow down a bit). I'm pretty used to the power now, its made so gently and so progressivly that I'm not intimidated by it at all. It only really makes a differance when I use more than, say, half throttle - then I suppose the valve in the carb is opened wider than what the restrictors would allow air to pass through, and hence the bike takes off

Really love my SV now, its way more usable, and alot safer.

Matt

Na, I told him I was more than happy with my SV for the moment. At a fuel stop I did think about leaping on his bike while he went and paid for his petrol as a big hint, but then thought I was having too much fun on my bike, and would rather stick to annoying my dad with enthusiastic blipping on downshifts into corners

And jester, your right...cracked open the throttle coming up hangar lane the other day to get past some cars quick....skippy skippy front end
