My 2 experiences of Horse riding were taking lessons somewhere in Byfleet - can't remember how many, & can't remember anything I learnt. (Bit like my DAS ) But when I actually just went horse riding in the Dominican Republic I really enjoyed it - so would be up for it, but not in August
