this did make me laugh. I borrowed my now ex husbands blade when he was at sea. Bike and I both survived but just. That bike was fast, with no engine braking but very good brakes - anyway I didnt bother to tell him. He then came on a rideout with the original ecosse posse and wee gaz the power ranger decided to ask me what I thought of the blade. Ex huffed all day - ****

Despite not being allowed to ride her bikes, I do still let my daughter take mine out for an extended unsupervised ride when I get a new one. I'm also fine with my ex, Tori, riding my bikes as I know she's a damn good rider. We were comparing each other's SVs only last week.

That said, my OH has ridden my bike (all of 8mph in a straight line, no throttle just clutch out, and me running along side to catch the bike should anything happen).

The fear of dropping my dads K6 gsxr 750 keeps me fron riding it. I am petrified of what might happen

I am, however, going to rag the living poop out of his VFR400 NC24 when its back on the road, got a full MoT and the engine is nicley up to operating tempurature.

I wonder which he'll love more though? His expensive GSXR, or his labour of love, but ultimatly free-except-for-the-bits-he-brought-for-it VFR?

dont worry.. the 'oohh look its shiny and new' only lasts a wee while. then its the hhhmmm think i'll go get another shiny new thing.

pluss you have gave him a chance to tinker with it.... without you saying 'what are you doing? you'v only just got it'....
