Yes indeedy, it takes all types to make a world, including batch loaves.

It really is like bread, isn't it. By now I know the types I like and those I don't, although if there's something new and interesting in the grocery store I'll probably have a look and a feel, or walk on by if it doesn't appeal at all. My fave btw is Sainsbury Taste the Difference oatmeal topped, without the seeds. My decision, don't have to justify it to anyone. Oh, and I'm self-taught, didn't need anyone on my post grad to tell me

When I was a kid, we moved into a big house in the middle of nowhere, at first mum was getting bread delivered by the tray from mothers pride everyday. but they decided not to deal with end users and as the nearest bakers was about 6 miles away mum had no choice but to bake a couple of loaves a day.

So for 15 years the house stunk of fresh bread, even now I cannot abide the factory produced stodge. I therefore buy my bread from my local bakers. Made that morning, still warm and wrapped in a piece of paper not sweating in a plastic bag.

French stick, chiapata, anything fresh - if we're taking "innabag" then multiseeded warbuton's.

I'd give the Asda one a try but it aint local enough.
