Just buy a one which you think is pretty close Dave, my better half has tiny fingers so even the shop didnt quite trust me when I said what size she was. In the end I bought it 2 sizes too big and when she got it, we took it to the Jewellers and we got the right size.

I wear mine all the time I can, but it's just not possible 100% of the time. Well, not if I'm being reasonable, anyway - I've got a tungsten carbide ring so just about the hardest material (although that doesn't seem to apply to the finish), it applies even more to people with gold or other softer materials.
If I wore mine all the time it'd be beaten up now, from the times I work on the bike - there are other situations too though.

Anyway - wasn't being argumentative, just pointing out it's not that feasible

Obviously unlikely, but some materials (e.g. mine - tungsten carbide) can't be resized. Probably won't apply though, it's only a few materials (maybe only tungsten carbide and titanium?, not sure).

Hehe, didn't think you were being no worries

Get a bag of Hula Hoops Dave and ask her to see how many she can get on her fingers, then see which ones fit! Obviously don't eat them off her fingers as this would defeat the object entirely!

I'm seriously supprised that this thread hasn't been degraded by the .Org as a collective. Well done all!!

As for the subject, I reckon the best way is the way you're trying to do it Dave, that way, her friends will be able to enjoy it all the more when she tells them that you proposed.

That last sentence is too easy to misread.
