Gotta laugh about peeps wanting a goodbye section or requests for this to be locked so it can be ignored, no one is forcing you to read it or reply to it for that matter.

Things have taken a downturn though in my view, but that doesn't count around here anyway.

I'm sad to see people referenced in this thread feeling they should go who are very good people who I'll be happy to join on rideouts and have the odd beer with.

I have not really taken a major interest in why people where banned, I have been kind of involved with the last fraca with someone who left and in turn I left and it was all petty and silly so I stay out of it now.

All I can say is I know 2 of the 3 guys that have left / been banned and they are cracking blokes, OK they have an opinion as do we all but when that opinion is written down it can often be misinterpreted. Everyone has freedom of speach but the mods also have to make sure that its not pushed too far.

I say come back guys we lova ya but there is life off the org and if you're like me your friends are in your phone book !!

If you guys decide to stay away then you will be missed as you are both strong characters of the org .................. keep in touch with my via other means guys.

Right I've stayed out of this thread so far as i couldn't be bothered to reply but lets get the facts straight here... no one has been banned! neio had his access restricted whilst us mods decided on the best course of action to take. He decided to leave end, of story! Same goes for biker billy he asked for his account to be deleted and it duly was.

No one is denying that everyone has an opinion but you cant really misinterpret people posting links to p0rn or insulting other forum users both of which are against the forum rules

I have to say that this is all very sad. I've known another forum to close because this sort of thing has gotten out of hand, I would sincerely hope that this wouldn't happen here. I'm going through some pretty dark times at the mo and the jokes and banter back and forth cheers me up no end, so if some people wish to leave so be it, lets put this behind us and look forward to the bike show, chrimbo and sunny dry(hopefully) roads next year.

Yes you should, because you have your facts wrong.

This sort of misinterpretation is precisley why I've locking / deleteing the other threads, so that people dont get the wrong end of the stick or take offence on somebody else's behalf without being fully aware of the true situation or havent been involved in the situation in the first place.

SV650.org is a great resource, and I have met a diverse range of people in the last 4 years! This forum has the best "community spirit" of any website I've come accross.

It would be a real shame if this sort of thing changed the general mood of the forum. For a casual user (like myself) this will blow over and normal service will resume; for those who use the site for networking it'll take longer. It would be a shame if a few people's issues spoil the site for the many other people who are less vocal. I guess the mods are doing what they think best to keep the balance.

I have no interest in the bans/self imposed exile. While you can ignore threads that you don't want to read, if the pleasant atmosphere and community spirit of the forum changes I'm sure that people like myself will drift away (without a melodramatic goodbye post ).
