Agree with Miss ASH.Was a bit of a recession type show with lots of the old suspects missing.
But that was a nice RC30 and the Ace Cafe stand had a Rickman Triumph and a racing Rob North Trident(Or was it a BSA?) Not to mention the BSA Bantam (An exact match for my first bike but in rather better nick) And I bought a battery.

Is it worth going to the show? Spending out the cost to get in?
I was after a pair of new gloves, well some nice summer ones.....maybe some more tools, to learn how to use. |

well I enjoyed it, but then I understand whatwent on to start this up again after MCN "done the dirty" on them, OK not the biggest show by any means but enough stuff to look at and if you wanted stuff it was there to buy, some interesting bikes, no having to push threw people was also a bonus.
fav Husky ![]() ![]() the CCM FT35 was gorgeous ![]() Spidey was there ![]() and a couple of pretty MV's ![]() Even a nice harley ![]() a jet bike ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The stonebridge special ![]() ![]() Even one of those new gladius thingies ![]() I suppose if all you wanted was to see the latest plastic wonders from the big four, then it would have been a dissappointment, but some nice bikes there and interesting stuff, I understand if it goes well next year it'll be moved to the easter holiday, god forbid the Exel show is all we're left with in London, good luck to them I say. Cheers Mark.

No not really, distance it for the Excel show, the big four won't come to a show a couple of weeks after one they were at in roughly the same location, so are more likely to attend, also it can run for the extra day, so that all should help.
Given a couple of years to expand I can see the Excel show turning into the "arty-farty" type thing it was to begin with, and the Ally Pally one being more to do with everyday biking and specials, or even back to the "road & race" show it used to be. Cheers Mark.

It was my first time at the Ally Pally bike show and second bike show (of this kind) ever. The other one was the NEC in 2007. I liked it, loved the bikes, the relaxed atmosphere, it wasn't too busy and the building is absolutely gorgeous with a fantastic view from this steep hill. Much closer than Birmingham and free parking so this one has my vote. I get tired v easily at shows like these so something relatively small suits me!
