Well, heavier crank + more power can equal spins up faster, I suppose. Better fuelling too could help that. Maybe other parts are changed. But it basically does sound like Marketing.

I think it does look better in that video than the previous pictures I've seen although that may be down to the colour scheme...I have to admit the first pictures of the Gladius were what convinced me to go for the SV650S, although the improved performance on the Gladius sounds good I can't say I'm at all disappointed in its speed. In fact I'm finding I have to watch the speedo like a hawk as I love the low down growl the engine makes as it accelerates.

Will be interested to see what a faired 'Gladius' looks like

John

You lot make me laugh - have any of you seen one in the 'flesh' or actually ridden one? I must admit its not my cup of tea in the styling side but for the job its designed for its great.

So far a lot of riding schools have ordered them as from their testing (manufacturers also get schools to test ride too!) its perfect for the job along with commuters and such like.

As for riding it its quite good fun bit soft on the front end but a bit of time you could adjust that - just because I sell bikes doesn't mean I agree with the press and suck up to every bike but this time I do!
