Ah, i see. But that requires more moving parts right? I can see the advantage of cooling the oil though as its gonna be further from the heat source.
Mark, where is the oil resovior on the CCM? |

in the DRZ it's in the frame, the CCM is basically the same bike so probably the same place, dipstick is next to the headstock

The DRZ engine is a double eccentric cam crank driven type , one being the circulation pump the other a scavenger one.

Well had to stop as I was awaiting the rotor puller (ordered yesterday morning),Not one to waste time yesterday afternoon I recovered the seat
![]() well guess what turned up 3 o'clock this afternoon...........yeah got the rotor off without any problem ![]() ![]() splitting the cases was somewhat more of a task ![]() slowly it comes apart. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() done it ![]() the crank out ![]() smallend stuck solid, piston locked to counter weights ![]() down to the shed for some extra force from the vice. got part way with this setup, ![]() ![]() ![]() then need special tool one ![]() moddified to special tool two ![]() bingo ![]() more play in the bigend than a teenager with a new PS3. so need a new crank.
