fingers crossed then. I just wish *some* resistance would appear to give me a bit of hope.

alright chap. when i first did mine it took bloody ages!!!! and im a bi anal about brakes. it took the best par of a full bottle of bake fluid to get all the bubbles out!! The problem you have is that when theres so much air in the system its almost impossible to bleed. you wont do it with an easybleed kit for example. So get plenty of fluid and some paitence. The tieing the brake leaver back helped me as it got just enough fluid in there to get the air pumped out. it took bloody ages tho. Unfortunatly theres no shortcut and i wouldnt be pushing fluid the wrong way as your asking for more troubble.

You allways want to have pressure on the leaver when opening and closing the nipple.

Just been working on it with a mate, we managed to get some resistance but there's just no power in them so there must be a leak. No leaks on the banjos and no visible leaks from the calipers so we've put it down to the mastercylinder - going to strip it.

More likely to be you haven't bled it properly yet.

You bled the banjo bolts?

yes for an hour or so the other nigh then again with my mate. There is no pressure, I've never done it before but he's done it loads and said it should be squirting out of the nipples as aposed to dribbling.

Bled at all the banjo bolts, retorqued and checked for leaks. Messed about with the pistons to make sure there was no air back there pushed them in and pumped them out a few times, tried bleeding with them all the way in. No apparent leaks from the calipers either so my mate reckons it's worth stripping the mastercylinder? see if one of the seals is shagged. Only got a few bubbles coming up from the whole process but they were more little clouds of really fine ones.

There's some resistance in the lever now but it's still far too soft, and there's no pressure. It just dribbles out of the bleed nipples.
