the first owner of my bike run her til 1200miles before the 1st service! the dealer said it wouldnt be a problem.

Sooner the first batch of oil is out the better really. Especially if you run motors in hard! I was too soft on the SV and it burnt oil. I've not made the same mistake with the Kwak and the oil was out at 500 miles. Runs nicely now and doesn't seem to eat any oil.

Your bike will be fine. The bike runs an oil filter so dont panic! LOL.
Contary to popular opinion they dont just explode when they reach 601 miles without a service!. I would though cast a general eye over the bike looking for any loose chassis bolts...and check tyre pressures/coolant level - general safety stuff if you cant get it done soon. From me..a Suzuki dealer, engine tuner and general engine thrasher of my own bikes for 15 years!.. Just enjoy. Last edited by SV650Racer; 14-04-09 at 01:56 PM. |
