I ALWAYS stop for bikers who look like they've broken down.

Even if its to see if they need to call anyone or even give them a backy to get more fuel. Always stop.

People have stopped before for me plenty of times, and its always well appreciated by those on the hard shoulder.

Usually give a beep and such, but usually get a thumbs up to say their ok.

Being part of the community n all.

I broke down once when my clutch cable snapped - honestly, I was sat at the roadside in tears....... Bikers came and went and no-one stopped.

Another time I just stopped in a layby for a fag - guy on his CBR1000 stopped "You ok, mate ?" and there then followed a half hour discussion on all things bike related

I've had a mixed experience with peaople stopping. I ran out of fuel at night on a dual carrigeway and had to push the bike for a mile to a safe place. An old chap pulled over for me and said he used to be a biker. he drove to the petrol station and bought some fuel for me so I could get home - what a star!

When i went hedge diving, the car behind just drove past, they were about 10sec behind so must have seen it, c*nts.

I was passed by hundreds of bikes yesterday (on the B4011 for the thames Valley lot) when my fuel pump relay went and no one stopped. Managed to push it to the pub to await recovery though

Mine behaved after the rebuild did about 1000 miles in a month but it's died again now.

The weekend before last saw a couple standing by their bikes in a bus stop, pulled in to see about them but almost as soon as I stopped the recovery truck pulled in behind me! As the male rider was strapping his bike onto the truck, two mates drove past in a convertible, taking the ****... so I guess they were alright, and I carried on.

I left my keys in my seat cover lock thing and a couple who were riding a SV thou picked them up, took them to a nearby fruit and veg stall and left a note on my bike letting me know where they were. They caught up with me later to have a go at me ^.^ nah, nice people, said they only did it because i rode a Suzy!
Had a combi lock on though so i was ok but still, nice enough people.
