Well yeah sometimes, especially in town it's easy to miss the nod from another bike because you're looking out for traffic, but while I'm doing that i'm looking out for other bikers as well.

i'll try to wave to SV riders if i see it's another SV before i'm next to it and sometimes i'll stick a leg out if I'm feeling overly bowing to some blokes Desmo..

I always find sports bike riders nod back, it's the miserable commuters on CB500s and the hairier HD riders that seem to dislike being part of the bike community. I still nod to them though as you never know...

If it wasn't for the exhaust on that thing i'd have trouble working out what cc it was, looks really nice.

I was thinking about this today while out on an amazing run, i have had a nod from almost everyone i have passed in the last 3 days i have noticed that it seems to be the sportsbike riders who nod all the time.

I have taken the same route 3 days in a row for practice mind so it may have just been the same people over and over lol

cheers

Me and Matt get a fair few nods back. Although, on our last trip back from brighton we didnt get many nods - probably because it was such a nice day that all the weekend riders were out

If people dont nod back, you need to give them the benefit of the doubt. They could be concentrating on a hazard up ahead and just havent seen you.

went to southampton and back on the weekend - got a fair few nods - some didnt reply but guess they're just busy or up their own a$$e$.

One question though (being a total bike newbie). Some guy was following me for a while on the m4 on the way down to southampton, he then peeled off at the next slip road, as he came up the inside of me on the slip road he waved his foot at me. What does that mean?!?!

Could mean a hello or thanks.

Sometimes if you're behind a bike and the person in front waves a foot at you, it means you can overtake them and go in front.
