That's unnecessary. If you don't want people to respond to your posts - which is after all the point of a 'discussion forum' then don't make them in the first place.

Keep it civil.

My mate has a T reg (1999?) 33bhp R6 and the only time i can have him is from standing start (excluding my better planning and thinking skills as i demonstrated to him at a roundabout one day ) it really supprised me when i couldnt do him when we both accelerated on straight, but i suppose at the speed it was i was probably running out of torque and he was going up the torque band.

Its one thing to have a preference to an SV or to a v-twin but you have to be realistic. There is no chance that an SV , especially in stock form will ever out perform a CBR6. I've raced both at pretty quick pace and there is simply no comparison.

The CBR can feel pretty sedate, it has a fairly misleading reputation in my opinion of being a relaxed squashy sedate IL4 sports bike, far far from the truth. Its a very fast capable machine.

The SV is no slouch either in the right hands but I'm afraid will never have the legs or handling to do over a CBR.

I assume your on a restricted SV. Do some in gear roll on tests, results would be interesting. You'll probably find the SV is quicker from 20-40 mph and the bikes level peg from 60 mph upwards, as is torque that matters at lower speed and power that matters at higher speed, and both bikes are restricted to the same power.
