Mileage from one tank?

you will defo get 20 -30 miles out of tank once light comes on.

my K3 pointy light flashes then goes off for a mile or so then back to flashing then to solid but you still have some miles to spare till you go dry.

Here's one for ya's. May as well stick it in here rather than start a new thread.

Ran out at 112 miles yesterday. Usually just fill up around the 100 mark. A few seconds before she cut out dead it spluttered a bit and the light came on solid. Nothing before that. Pushed it to the pumps and filled on side stand to just below brim which was 14l. Thought a curvy was 16? Whats that about? Would i really get 2 more ltrs in sitting on the bike? I did have a problem with my overflow/water tube so i suspect a bit of water has got in.

Would this cause the lack of space and possibly trick the sensor also, since water drops to the bottom?

i'm not saying you'll get an extra 2 liters in there, but you should get on top of her and give it a bit of a knock about when ure filling it.

Maybe. Although this time the light just went straight to solid, just as she ran dry and cut out testy multimeter time i think. I have seen it flash before, but usually just fill up at 100 out of habit. Maybe the sensor has given up the ghost

Mileage wise, it has shot down recently. City riding and then playing keepy upy with kido etc at the weekends doesnt help at all lol!

I've managed to squeeze 250 miles from a tank and it took just over 19 litres to fill the supposedly 19 litre tank when I finally did. Normal use sees me getting approx 190 - 210 miles to a tankful.

Tyres passed there best,riding steady,207 miles 12.78 ltrs,light had been on steady for 10 miles,should be 1.7 left in tank ???.15 mpg better than a versys..pilot power now fitted.

About the fuel light, mine does flash and then go solid. But when it flashes the gaps between the flashes are different with every flash.

I presumed that the flashing stage was not designed in and it is just the fact that when you are near that point where fuel is getting low and bank the bike over or go up/down a hill the fuel moves from the sensor and it thinks your low so puts a solid light on, then it goes off a again when upright. Hence intermitent flashes.

Is this true?

On a curvy the light starts flashing when theres approx 3.5 litres left, stays on steady when it drops to approx 1.5 litres
