Don't you dare.....they've done nothing wrong. t won't help you to hear that you can actually get spider bites in this country, not from house spiders, but by field spiders, usually found in crop, maize and wheat fields etc. These little buggers can even carry Limes Disease! If you get bitten by a spider when you're out walking in the country and a week or two later get a big red swelling.....go to your docs for the necessary antibiotics. My ex got two bites on his leg when we were bayling hay and two weeks later the marks appeared. two weeks after that it looked like his leg was rotting. I had to force him to the docs and he got a right telling off.

Don't kill the spiders though, for starters you won't achieve anything as there are plenty more that you can't see, secondly....why kill...that's just mean and thirdly, your gardem WILL suffer for it!

I don't see the point in sugar coating. Better that you know. It really doesn't happen very often, but better to be armed with the facts just in case it should ever happen. I have lived most of my life in the country where I have ridden everydya, had to help with hay bailing every year and have never been bitten, so don't worry about it.

I still think you could do with some sort of phobia hypnotherapy or something. My old best mate had it done for flying and spider phobia and never looked back. It was amazing actually. She used to be paralysed at the sight and now can pick them up if she doesn't have a glass and paper to hand!

Our house is being invaded by Spiders, I keep finding them everywhere. I keep picking them up and putting them outside. Now the back garden is full of cobwebs, mind you the local fly population seems to have taken a down turn recently

Eurgh, my skin is crawling at all of the pics. I cannot even stand to look at pics of them.

I have no rational reason for my fear of spiders other than my mum is also incredibly scared of them. She tried to hide it when we were young but I think that I still picked up on it.

I can safely say, I have only killed one spider in my like (personally) as I cannot get close enough to them to do the deed. I am actually tempted to try hypnotherapy to get rid of my fear as it can be quite a drawback in my job!
