You should be careful with alcohol dude, I'ts dangerous. My dad died a few years ago from liver cirrhosis and it got him so quick.
I like to have a drink but you should be aware of what your doing. |

Unit's in a drink is easy to work out.
% strength x volume (litres). e.g Pint of Tennants Ice Cold. 4.2%(I think) and .568 litres. So just Around 2-2.5 units in a pint of ice cold. As for how much I drink, couldn't tell you. Pub most nights, anywhere from 2-8 pints per night. Weekends I couldn't even try to estimate, guess between me and my flatmate trying to count, around 30 units per night, maybe more. Yes I drink too much. ![]() |

Short answer = Yes.
Long answer = Yes, but it's your life and if you want to drink and accept the risks that come with it, and aren't likely to hurt anyone else whilst doing it, fine. |

I actually was shocked at how much you drink - my other half helps people with head and neck cancer which as you'll no doubt guess is 'caused' by smoking and drinking as the major contributing factors. (I used the word 'caused' loosely)
A large number of people she see's have had portions of their throat removed (sometimes replaced with bowel) and now have to be fed through tubes into their bowel/stomach. Drinking is a major contributor to head and neck cancer patients, some of whom have never smoked so its not just the smokers I'm afraid. Heavy drinkers are not often aware of this.
