The reason I wouldn't accept it is that they are heavily insured against things like this. It is not uncommon for companies to claim from their insurance and only pass on 10-20% to the actual customer, keeping the rest to cover "costs".
These companies are massive, it's a first offer and if it's accepted, they'll be laughing. The only other thing I will say is that yes, you should always check your paperwork, but Nic did not have the paperwork until they were en route to the airport so it wouldn't have helped anyway and yes, as Ophic says, they are an agent, they have a duty of responsibility to ensure they book you the holiday and dates that you want. |

This happens frequently and the people don't get booked. It's a common thing which is easily sorted and is why Police can still issue producers. At the end of the day, you are still insured, just that an error has been made in the paperwork. |

ok well forgoing the pedantic technicalities, my point being you should not always assume a big company wont make mistakes , and to check to save yourself heart ache. assume, makes an ass out of u and me, AKA the mother of all **** ups!! |

You might be alright with the police, but Dan got covered for taking a pillion and in the documents, it said no pillion coverage. The police are understanding of these mistakes, the insurance companies however will not be. If we'd gone out and had an off and I tried to claim of dans insurance, we'd have been up a certain creek without a paddle and I for one would be mad ![]() |

Car insurance and such things are a bit different as its a legal requirement to have, and as such, the responsibility lies with the driver to make sure he's insured.

In the same way the liability for raising any errors to the issuing company to correct those errors lies with the customer, by checking their documentation. be it holiday details , insurance etc. |
