I think its a real shame that the world is obsessed with FWD - bring back cars with engines and layouts like the Lotus Sunbeam and the Chevette HS2300 I say
 As a side note did anyone see the Gadget Show last week with the Audi R8 experiment - quite scary I thought!

Its down to cost.
Its far cheaper to have a FWD car than to produce a RWD car, which needs more work, more weight, more parts, which equals more costs. FWD is a cheap way of making a car move when why its so common. |
