Bank charges reclaiming - bad news

natwest emailed me updated terms

We have reduced the amount of our fees and charges in relation to unarranged borrowing and unpaid items. We have made some changes to our Fees Leaflet which reflect these reductions.

We have also reduced the maximum amounts of some of the fees for unarranged borrowing and unpaid items that you can incur in any charging period.

Our joint account is with Natwest and I have to say this is much more like it.

£5 per O/D item, reduced from £38.

All other banks need to follow suit.

Wouldn't bother me, I never go overdrawn. If I can't afford it, I don't buy it... simple.

+1...if they scrapped the charges or made them fairer, where it the deterent not to go overdrawn? People would just use it as a high interest overdraft.
