iPhone 4

Does anyone know if a 3g docking station will work with the 4g,I appreciate no-one has seen the 4g yet,but I do hope it works as I bought a great docking station only 4 weeks ago.

It you are referring to those speaker sets with iPad / iPhone docking connector, they will most probably work.

If you are talking about the USB computer docking station that sits on your desk while it charges the phone, won't fit the new iPhone 4 because they have a different contour shape.

How is it amazingly daft ? i got 10 months left at 35quid a month,
i can get £150 for my Iphone 3G trade in and for an extra 30 quid i can have a new phone ?

You can probably get a lot more that £150 on eBay. And you are right, the new iPhone is worth every penny.

I'm not an Apple-hater (I'm writing this on a macbook), but my god these Iphones get some peoples knickers in a twist.

Expect 2 year £40 contracts in order to have a "free" Iphone. They know you'll sell your family for one.


Of course it goes without saying that if you're happy spending that much cash, go wild. Not for me.

Maybe not an apple-hater but clearly not an iPhone fan This model has been discussed and anticipated for months, when it was lunched at WWDC last week, it was clear it's going to be awesome for those who can appreciate it's real value.

There are plenty of hands-on reviews already. You just have to google for "iPhone 4 review".

The Iphone provides me with everything i need from Instant messaging and skype,
using the Wake on Lan app to wake my pc up at home from anywhere in the world i can then take control of my PC and set a film off downloading which i just seen on a billboard while in the back of a taxi,
i can browse my whole computer content and stream over 3g and wifi.
I can get my Personal and work emails in a flash, got satnav where every i need it.
I can even use it as a GPS tacker and look back on routes iv done on the bike,
I also use mine as a Wirless meaid centre remote around the home to control my music and movies.
Use it as a network tool at work to ping machines and other TCP/IP configs.
So as the current one works so well for me spending 30 quid to upgade to a device thats going to all these things better and more its a win win for me.
im not your avrage joe who wants the latest device to look kool im a gadget/technology kinda guy have a look at my AV thread on here its my hobby and my work and i know will use the device to its full potential.

I still want to know how much the handset will cost on the contracts! the link to the £500/600 must be for the pay as u go/buy the handset outright. as even the 3gs was listed as 'from £400' and u can get thy free on some contracts. that's really what's going to be my deciding factor!

i think it will be somthing like

16gb = £100 32GB = £170 with a 24 month contact
