How long together?

I've been single for 1 year next week.

Had been together for 3 1/2 years prior to that.
Before that I'd been with a guy for 3 1/2 years
and before that it was an on/off for 3 1/2 years.

Anyone seeing a pattern here? lol

In both cases I was living 1hr+ away from the girls in question, so it was mainly weekend meet ups only. Hours in the car to Germany to hang round whilst I thrash a motorcycle round for hours on end for no logical reason and then hours back isn't always looked on as fun by girls! I took one to a track day and she enjoyed it, but I think it was more the novelty and the hotel and meal the night before....

Together 19 years and married for 15.

The thought of being single doesn't appeal to me. Maybe the thrill of meeting someone new, finding out who they really are, how they tick, feel, think and react. Enjoying new experiences and developing a deep and emotional bond. But I hate washing up and ironing almost as much as tidying up and laundery and I don't think I could fake sharing half the chores the first couple of years again
