They've got luminous tent pegs as well! They apparently attract the midges and keep them away from you.

Maybe the last of the SSS, so buy it now before it goes.

My mate who is riding up with me on Friday, emailed Avon to see where he could get SSS locally.

The reply came today and stated that they do not make it anymore, the ony thing them make with the same ingedient that the midge's don't like is a bath oil, (handy for a camp site ).

They recommended him to buy anything with deet in it...

they have been supposedly telling people this for about 6 years now. so far as i'm concerned its total picolax.

they want people to rush out and panic buy the stuff. dont be fooled if Avon were to stop selling this stuff it would cause a huge hole in their sales, they aint about to do that now are they.

+1 to Bibio....SSS is one of, if not the biggest seller and most known brand that Avon has. They will not be binning it. Take a look at the link below. The SSS range has it's own section on the site, completely seperate to all other moisturisers...lol.

You won't be able to buy mail order now for the weekend, but why don't you ask a few neighbours if they know who the local Avon rep is....they may have some spare!

Seriously, there'll be at least 100 bottles of the stuff plus citronela candles, peat fires at the campsite, I wouldn't worry about it.

I seem to remember there's a barrel that could be set alight that helped at GMI, bloody roasting though.

I still think the southerners should buy the tent pegs as added protection against the midges. There's no need for them to buy windows for their tents.

No,No,NO

The Bar shut at 11:30 (I Think) and at that point we were asked to leave the beer garden. As far as i know everyone went back to their or someone elses accomodation and the merriment continued. I know it was 4am before I turned in.
The only other thing they were not keen on was consumption of alcohol not purchased from their bar within the beer garden, but more than welcome to drink it at your tent.
