Messie is referring to my annual holiday 10-12 days in Scotland during which I was accompanied by three people from the ESSEX LOUNGE==== It was not an organised rideout

Part two refers to arrangements as to where I was staying and left the choice and booking to the other individuals.no designated routes just suggested and where I would stop plus breakfast, lunch and dinner,stay the night.Other choices were available and utilised by some of the others as in different eateries and sleeping
As the weather was so bad a few changes happened and alternative night stops had to be paid for. This again was up to the individual as to whether they carried on to their original booking or suffered the loss and paid for an alternative
This was my holiday and anybody who tagged along had nothing organised for them and it costs about £750 for me
I did not want any responsibility for anybody's arrangements,costs.breakdowns or anything else,everybody was responsible for their own corner,after all I was on holiday as were the others with complete freedom to do as they wished.

The AR is completely different as people take it on themselves to organise it on everybody's behalf. Finding the site with different accommodation facilities,organising food and a pre-planned route with markers to show the way.The only thing for attendees to sort out is getting there and home

I thought it was another rideout separate to that DT. I must admit I did think about going but leaving for that amount of time is impossible for me at the moment.

I do get where you are coming from in that you don't want to e responsible for other people. I think it's nice you even offered others to come along...I it were me I'd not do an open invite, but that's just me.

He's such a grumpy old bugger he knows he's safe giving an open invite 'cos only a few folk will go!
