Well my 5 centimos worth goes like this.....I thought that the site was a first class point of reference on the lead up and a little beyond getting my new bike. Often the information being shared was extremely valuable.
However I do not think that the format for the site is to blame for some people losing a little faith in the site, it is more likely that there is a limit to the subjects that might be raised and so it is difficult to keep the content "fresh". Again any new visitor would find the site both informative and entertaining but as time passes this feeling will diminish.
For those who have been using the site longer than many, the best use of the site is maybe for keeping in touch with pals made via the site and for organising rides.

I am prepared to be completely blown out of the water on all points made above! ( BTW still aint rained yet! )

This worked on another site that i use. For the ememebrship fee, you got a photo album(Online), an area where to have the very idle banter, avatars, web amil etc. The main site still run as it should keeping the bike stuff public which helped imensly. Sadly i got blocked at work and cant use the site anyway. But to me, its definitly worth a thought.

I think this is a great site, and I really appreciate the fact it's free. My only criticism, and this is subjective, is that the technical stuff like problems, tuning questions etc. gets muddied with all the "how do I fit LED indicators" sort of stuff.

On the other hand, all the threads have titles, so any of us can skim them and ignore the ones with silly names or enormously long ones.

Keep it up, this is a much better site than a lot I've seen.
