Note to Junior....... I might even answer them if I'm not out riding

Cheers Mark.

Don't know how long it would have lasted with the way you ride, but with the way I ride, it's done 15k since I had it off you and still going strong!!
Cheers!!

How do you find those Mez Z6's... Have they been good in all conditions?

So now you want the gentlest mileage
or is it (as in original) only classic shaped
does this exclude anyone who's done the from fork springs (that's a bit they've changed)

shouldn't it be who has the highest mileage without changing anything, bearing in mind it comes with oil in it so anyone past the first oil change is excluded anyway

here's your winner

But I reckon after I brake the engine in. I could possibly be up there with Rictus. I should be doing about 30 - 35k a year

I'm sure if you make the criteria specific enough it'll be you

to be honest, I'm just waiting for them to ware out at the moment, bit squared off, but yeah, good tyres the only thing that lets them down is a bit less feedback and flexibility compared to the Avon's, but then again 12,000 miles isn't to be sniffed at.

my riding is definatly different than rictus. forthe most part, I haven't changed anything outfrom stock except pipe & jet kit until it was worn out
I average 25,000/yr but the last 2 I have slacked off a bit and ridden my XV920R a little more. between the 2 I put on about 30k/yr.

my riding is a mix of about everything.. and I weigh 300lbs geared up.

I am very satisfied with stock suspension... in my mind it wasn't "broken in" till I had 20k or more. I rebuilt the forks with progressive springs@ about 62k.

my average engine rpm is 5-6k a couple times I have SERIOUSLY overreved it downshifting to first @ 75mph.... the lasttime I thought for sure something was going to come unglued

I have toured. every year I trek to Deals Gap for vacation, 1100 miles one way. usually do between 3500-6000 miles in a week to 10 days.
I have done an IBA saddlesore 1000 and bunburner 1500
ridden off road on snowmobile trails & fire roads with motard tires. one ride in particular was over 50miles of single track standing on pegs slipping clutch and bouncing over rocks.
I rely heavily on engine braking, I smooth shifts by slipping clutch rather than bliping throttle (some blip)

I haven't done a thing to my SV that isn't a normal wear item....

I know rictus is way beyond my milage now, I beleive we both hit 100k about the same time last August
