Absolutely Love it Fizzwheel, as you can imagine it took a fair bit of getting used to but only really in terms of outright power.

It seems no more diffictult to ride than the SV yet thats prob a bad thing as it can lead to complacency, on a few occassions over the winter with greasy roads ive hit the power a bit too early and felt the back end step out. Of course to teh casual onlooker he probably says look at that flash git stepping out the back, when in actual fact im doing my best to straighten the bike up ha ha

Mine is the R version not the factory, as most people know the factory comes with those nice blue oz magnesium wheels as whell as the full ohlins treatment front and rear and more carbon fibre than you can shake a stick at.

On my bike the front brembo brakes are nothing short of fantastic, one or two finger control is all you need and you could easily stand the bike on its nose, rear brake is fine now but was a disaster at the start, front and rear shocks are also great havent had to adjust at all, the rear sachs unit is fully adjustable so will suit most needs.

Only problem ive had was that when i first got the back the back break was all but useless (seriously it had no bite at all) this was apparently a common problem among the 04 mille's which my dealer was quick to sort out for me free of charge by draining the reservoir and refilling it with some new high performance oil, now its working fine.

Fuel wise if im pushing her hard she actually seems to be more fuel efficient than when im pottering around town. Best range ive had from the tank was 140miles and lowest was 86, altho each time i was refilling when it was about 20miles into reserve.

Hmmmm what else, styling speaks for itself its a great looking bike, ive been out on her all winter and am not the most religious of cleaners aside from a good sunday wash down for the bike. Chain could do with a bit of TLC which will get sorted in the summer when i replace it at its 2nd service (4500miles).

On a side note for those hooligans out there it wants to lift the wheel in any gear if you even ask it the question it will kindly oblige and then some. Saying that i actually feel very much in control of the bike and dont regret moving up for a second.

Only mods i plan in future are upgrading to PCI Map III when i get my new cans fitted, havent decided yet on the akra's or Arrows, also may move to radial brakes.

Heres a few pics

i got a good trade in for my old sv so this made the new shape mille much easier to afford, but i know what you mean.

If your lookin around at the old models you should be able to get an 02 factory for about 5 grand then take off your trade-in price.
