Seems to work OK for Yamaha and Rossi though.
I'd heard somewhere that for a 4-stroke, the hoily grail was meant to be a 6-cylinder? Something about a 6 being the ideal match of weight and power for a 4-stroke. Mind you, that would have been from the bike press (bike magazine I think it was, a few years back) so maybe just a load of old rubbish...

Wouldn't surprise me if Honda were already working on a 6 for MotoGP as their next big thing... anything for an advantage.

Now I thought that Honda had a triple waiting in the wings ready for the reduced fuel capacity regs this year.. maybe they are holding it back...

Well boys, all that stuff about "Big Bangs" was jolly interesting (or not, in the case of Mr Boccadillo) but, regardless of the firing order, I have a feeling that we might see little Loris Capirossi on the podium at Assen this weekend...although probably not on the top step.

When I rode at Assen (a few years back now!), the ability to keep consistency was vital..it's so fast that there is not much differentiation, and if you drop off the pace it's hard to get back. For that reason, I think young Melandri will fall back, and maybe let Gibernau or even Edwards in, but the Duke will be VERY quick I am sure.

Talking of firing order....I am sure we will hear that P45s will soon go to Checa, Bayliss, Roberts Jr, Byrne and perhaps Biaggi! I'd like to see more young boys.

Camilla, I concurr with you on the requirement for some new blood in the blue riband class. I do though think that maybe Max Biaggi will still have a top ride next year. Despite his temper tantrums this season he is actually lying 3rd in the standings. This puts him behind the best rider on the planet and the person I believe to be the only real challenger at the moment Marco Melandri.
I think Sete Gibernau will lose his Movistar ride as soon as Dani Pedrosa is ready to move up.

Just wait until Pedrosa, Lorenzo,Daviziosa,Stoner,Porto and De Puniet step up!
The future is bright...the future is...Moto Gp!
