AFAIK most tests show that under the influence of 1 unit (I think) more people show an improvement than a decline in their driving. I don't think zero tolerance is the way forward myself.

I can only echo the sentiments of it being the right thing to do.
The only other option in my book would to have called them whilst there with him, but I can understnad reason for not wanting to be there in that position to be honest. I have known some people who would have said "ahhh, but we're all bikers together ain't we, fraternity n all that", but it's not about him being a biker, it's about him being a ****! |

The reason I did not want to be there when I phoned the police is because I didn't want him to know that I was calling the police and give him the chance to disappear
