Got them fitted yesterday at Essential Rubber £165 all in, though no wheel alignment done.
I can already tell I'm going to enjoy these tyres, the profile is very different to the 020s that were on there when I bought the bike. It feels much more ready to corner (to me anyway). I can't really judge though, as I only got the 020s with about 2k of tread left. Essential are good guys, they work fast, and they do lots of other jobs. They'll fit a chain and sprockets for £35 worst case, which seems good to me. It's actually £35 an hour, for most jobs. Recommended. |

Glad you like them, shame it's not really the weather to test their full abilities, but come the spring I feel sure you'll find why a lot of us rate them highly.

Just out of interest, did Essential Rubber try and persuade you against the RA's.
They changed my tyres a couple of months ago and recommended the Z6's above the RA's and as for the 020's, they said they wouldn't fit a tyre they weren't prepared to ride on. Hope you enjoy your new rubber. |

I asked for the RAs and they said nought. I later asked him during fitting whether lots of people were getting them and he said people loved the mileage as well as the price. But I didn't really ask for his own suggestion.
I think it depends on who you get fitting though. Another guy was raving over some Avons and their Hazard Warranty. |

I'll be honest, I was going for the RA's right up until I found Essential Rubber. I spoke to someone there they recommended the Z6's and I thought to myself, who's the more experienced and knows what they're talking about.
I'll be interested to see how much mileage I get compared to the 020's. |

Are the Z6 suitable for the odd beginner track day (gentle with instruction!) on top of normal road riding? Or should I be looking else where?
Zolder instruction days = Euro 110 I'm there!! Only problem is have to take a day off work as during the week. |
